Funeral services for Danny Ray Martin, 69, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial was at Akins Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mr. Martin was born on May 27, 1955, in Sallisaw, to Tommy James Martin and Beatrice Lenore (Risenhoover) Martin. He died on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, in Sallisaw.

He was a truck driver, cattle hauler and of the Pentecostal faith.

He married Joy Burcham on June 18, 1976, in Sallisaw.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Martin of the home; two sons, Chris Martin and Scooter and Tiffany Martin, all of Sallisaw; one daughter, Amy Parkhurst of Portland, Ore.; one brother, Ronnie Martin of Sallisaw; one sister, Peggy Martin of Sallisaw; nine grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Martin; and two sisters, Jamie Martin and Carolyn Massa.

Pallbearers were Brian Strickland, Willie Strickland, Justin Martin, Caleb Martin, Kevin Edwards and Hazer Pruitt.
