A memorial gathering for Ernestine (Rogers) Pigeon, 85, of Sallisaw, was held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Cremation was under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pigeon was born on March 8, 1939, in Gans to Ernest Sid Rogers and Edith (Foyil) Rogers. She died on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, in Sallisaw.
She was a retired ambulance service dispatcher and of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed helping others, being a mom and grandmother.
Survivors include two daughters, Stacie and Mike Weaver and Michelle and Marty Jones, all of Sallisaw; one sister, Kaye Shamblin of Sallisaw; one granddaughter; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Mildred Springwater, Ruth Kennedy and Imogene Fields.
