Funeral services for Lillian Craghead Abbott, 92, of Vian, were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Services, Inc.
Mrs. Abbott was born on April 14, 1932, in Vian, to Dica (Smith) Craghead and Jess Craghead. She passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, in Vian.
She was married to Grady Lee Abbott on Jan. 15, 1954, in Valley Center, Kan. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2019.
She was a homemaker and of the Southern Baptist faith.
Survivors are a daughter, Brenda Newcomer and Richard of Broken Arrow; two sons, Kenneth Abbott and Donna of Broken Arrow and Jim Abbott of Norman; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Ona Holeman of Hot Springs, Ark., and Gladys Thornton of Vian; brother, Lynard Craghead of Vian; and several other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Leo Craghead, Floyd Craghead and Don Craighead.
Pallbearers were Jason Newcomer, James Thornton, Howard Womble, John Abbott, Michael Collins and Strates Craghead.
