Washington Johnson and Lavern (Horn) Johnson. He died on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, in Fort Smith.
He was a 1972 graduate of Vian High School. He was a radiologist, retiring from Holt Krock Clinic and River Valley Orthopedics. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and was fond of sport bikes.
He married Cydney Jill Johnson on Dec. 31, 1996, in Fort Smith. She preceded him in death on Aug. 25, 2018.
Survivors include one son, Gabriel and Robi Johnson of Tahlequah; two daughters, Hilary Johnson of Fort Smith and Blakely Johnson of Denton, Texas; one brother, Tim and Mary Johnson of Jenks; one sister, Brenda and Louie Rouse of Fort Gibson; five grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers were Lexton Johnson, Knox Johnson, Dawsen Godfrey, Brant Rouse, Chris Johnson, Johnathan Johnson, Ian McLemore and Brian Dougan.
An informal funeral service for Roger Johnson, 70, of Fort Smith, Ark., was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial was at Box Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
