Vian’s Board of Trustees met at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 21 for their regular monthly meeting, where they swiftly approved the purchase of a vehicle and other regular agenda items.
The trustees unanimously approved the purchase of a 2024 Ram 1500 truck in the amount of $39,738 from Superior Automotive Group for both the town and public works authority’s use.
During the communications segment of the meeting, Carlotta Scarborough addressed the trustees about police reports, such as timeline for interviews and action, and questioned who made the decisions regarding on whether or not the case goes to the District Attorney.
The board members then went on to approve all monthly reports for the previous month, including police, fire, sanitation, streets and parks, and the treasure’s report, with the meetings concluding at 6:57 p.m.
