Funeral services for Erma Lou Stone, 95, were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025. Burial was at Park Hill Cemetery under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Tahlequah.
Mrs. Stone was born on Dec. 14, 1929, in Stilwell, to Thomas “Lee” and Eva Ethel (Hall) Rich. She passed away on Feb. 1, 2025, in Tahlequah.
She was married to Reverend Willard Stone on Aug. 4, 1964. He preceded her in death in 2018.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting, was an exceptional cook, and served the Lord all the days of her life.
Survivors include her children, Joseph Hogner and wife Linda of Cookson, Michael Hogner of Oktaha, Barry Stone and wife Cindy of Locust Grove, and Valarie Wilson of Okay; one sister, Wilma Rich Miller and husband Jay of Tahlequah; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clifton Rich; seven sisters, Opal Leatherwood, Elwanda Latta, Geneva Emalino, Lorene Blevins, Greta Patterson, Margie Kelley, Magaline McAnally, and Wilma Rich Miller; and son, James Hogner.
Pallbearers were Brian Stone, Greg Stone, Shawn Hogner, Dawson Hogner, Dale Guthrie and Justin Hogner.
Honorary pallbearers were Randy Guthrie, Travis Sandlin, David Frazier and Jake Sandlin.
