The Oklahoma Tax Commission recently released city sales tax collection figures that primarily represents local tax receipts from December business. The monies they reported this period represent sales from Dec. 16 to 31 and estimated sales from Jan. 1 to 15.
Statewide, the disbursement of $203,103,044 sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected a decrease of $775,982 from the $203,878,986 distributed to the cities and towns in January last year. The use tax disbursement to cities and town was $51,554,682 according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.
In county returns, the counties shared in a $33,814,620 sales tax disbursement and a $10,028,114 use tax disbursement.
