Former Vian Lady Wolverines softball player Greenlee Wells and the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison went 2-3 last week.
Last Wednesday, the Bison dropped both games of a road doubleheader in Lawton to host Cameron University, which beat OBU 4-3 and 9-8.
In the Bison’s Great American Conference road series against host East Central University in Ada, OBU won two of the three games — taking Friday’s nightcap 7-5 after losing the opener 9-8, then winning Saturday’s rubber game of the series 9-1 in six innings.
Wells was 0-for-3 in each game against Cameron for the Bison (12-11 overall, 7-2 in GAC play).
In Friday’s win over ECU, Wells went 1-for-4 with a run scored, while going 1-for-3 with her seventh home run in Friday’s loss to the Lady Tigers.
In Saturday’s victory, Wells was 1-for-3 with two runs batted in and a run scored.
Through 23 games, Wells is hitting .294 with four doubles, seven homers, 24 RBIs, 12 runs scored and five stolen bases.
After entertaining Southern Nazarene in a home GAC doubleheader Tuesday afternoon, Wells and the Bison will hit the road to meet GAC rival Henderson State University on Friday and Saturday in Arkadelphia, Ark. There will be a 2 p.m. Friday doubleheader, followed by a single game at noon Saturday.
