The Central Lady Tigers went 1-2 last week, beating the Gore Lady Pirates 10-8 in a road three-way March 11 at Gore before losing the other game that day 10-1 to Porum. Last week started with a 10-6 loss March 10 in Keota.
In the win over Gore, the Lady Tigers (2-2) rallied for the comefrom- behind win with a three-run fifth inning to take a 10-8 lead, then held the Lady Pirates scoreless in their half of the inning.
For the game, Alyvia Warner was 3-for-4 with a run batted in and a run scored, Jhaselyn Gonzalez was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, Brenleigh Allen was 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored, Brianna Taylor was 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored and Ayrland Jiles was 2-for-2 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. Riley Rowland (2-2) got the win.
In the loss to Porum, the Lady Tigers were four-hit by Porum pitcher Mesa Coulston, who had a strikeout in five innings.
The Lady Panthers broke a scoreless tie with a three-run fourth inning.
In defeat, Warner, Allen, Allie Harris and Camryn Gilliam all singled for Central.
Rowland took the loss, despite recording three strikeouts.
In the loss to Keota, the Lady Lions, who trailed 1-0 in the first inning, scored three runs in the first inning and four runs in the second inning for a 7-1 lead.
The Lady Tigers cut the deficit to 7-5 with a four-run third inning but got no closer.
In defeat, Charlie Petree was 3-for-3 with a triple, two runs batted in and a run scored, Jiles was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI and Allen was 2-for-3 for Central.
Rowland suffered the loss, despite getting two strikeouts in five innings.
The Lady Tigers will be idle until after Spring Break when they play next Tuesday in the Porum Festival.
