The Central Tigers entered Spring Break this week splitting both of their games last week.
The Tigers rallied past the Gore Pirates for a 7-6 home victory over Gore on March 11 after being blanked by the Vian Wolverines 6-0 on March 10 in Vian.
In the win over Gore, the Tigers (3-2) scored three runs in the home half of the seventh inning to snatch the win away from the Pirates, who had scored three runs in the top of the frame to take a 6-4 lead.
For the game, Paitton Merrill was 2-for-4 with a run batted in and a run scored, while Waylen Campbell doubled with two RBIs for Central.
Kiefer Bailey (2-0) got the win in relief, getting a strikeout in the seventh inning. Campbell started and went the first 4.1 innings with three Ks. Ryker Miller then went the following 1.2 innings with three strikeouts.
In the loss to Vian, Vian pitcher Michael Polecat threw a four-hitter as he recorded seven strikeouts in seven innings.
In defeat, Ryker Miller and Aidan Sainer each doubled for the Tigers.
Hardy Buzzard (0-2) suffered the loss, despite fanning three batters in 5.2 innings. Waylen Campbell got the final out in the sixth inning.
