Former Vian Lady Wolverines softball player Greenlee Wells and the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison went 4-1 last week.
The week began with a pair of home wins over Southern Nazarene by scores of 14-7 and 5-4 in eight innings on March 11 in Shawnee, then the Bison took two of three games in last weekend’s road series against Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ark. — winning Friday’s opener 7-3 before losing the nightcap 4-2 and taking Saturday afternoon’s finale 5-2.
In the opener against SNU, Wells was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, while going hitless in three at-bats in the nightcap.
In Friday’s opener against Henderson State, Wells was 2-for-4 with a double, a run batted in and a run scored, while going hitless in three atbats in the nightcap.
In Saturday’s game against Henderson State, Wells went 2-for-3 with with her eighth home run of the season and two RBIs.
Through 28 games, Wells is hitting .318 with six doubles, eight homers, 27 RBIs, 16 runs scored and five stolen bases.
Wells and the Bison will play a 4 p.m. road doubleheader against Texas Women’s University today in Denton, Texas, then play a home three-game weekend series against Ouachita Baptist University with a 6 p.m. Friday game and a noon twinbill on Saturday.
