OKLAHOMA CITY — The Gore Pirates only got to play one game last week during Spring Break instead of three.
The game the Pirates got to play took place Thursday night at Bricktown Ballpark in downtown Oklahoma City, with the Pirates falling 10-4 to the Dewey Bulldoggers.
The Pirates had their March 17 home game canceled with Porum and their home March 18 contest against Cave Springs canceled.
In the loss to Dewey, the Pirates (5-3) scored one in the first and third innings and twice in the fourth inning for a 4-0 lead, but the Bulldoggers scored twice in the fifth inning, seven runs in the sixth inning and once in the seventh inning to get the come-from-behind victory.
In defeat, Tate Brooksher was 2-for-4 with a triple and a run scored, while Gage Dame was 2-for-4 for Gore.
Brooksher (2-1) suffered his first loss of the season, going five innings with two strikeouts. James Brasuell got the final six outs, two of which came by strikeout.
