CASA for Children is seeking dedicated volunteers to be a voice for children living in foster care. You can make a difference in a child’s life by simply being yourself – caring, compassionate, and willing to stand up for children in need.
“There is a significant and urgent need for additional CASA volunteers,” said Suzanne Hughes, Executive Director of CASA for Children. “Every child deserves a stable advocate who can be their voice in the courtroom and in their daily lives. The more volunteers we have, the more children we can serve.”
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers are dedicated community members who are trained and supported by local CASA staff to advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Volunteers work alongside caseworkers, attorneys, and judges to ensure that every child has the opportunity for a safe and permanent home.
The next volunteer training for the agency begins in May, providing an opportunity for new volunteers to step up and change a child’s story. No special background or education is required – just a heart for helping children.
