Funeral services for Robert Leslie Young, 36, were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Interment followed at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funereal Services, Inc.
Mr. Young was born on Dec. 13, 1988, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Gary and Dorothy Young. He passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Survivors are a son, Easton Gary William Young of the home; his parents, Gary and Dorothy Young of McKey; sisters, Wanda and David Choate of Marble City and Angela Morrow of Garland, Texas; several nephews and nieces; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Opal Young of McKey and Omer and Lessie Matthews of Blackgum.
Pallbearers were Weston Choate, Matthew Morrow, George Wildcat Jr., Clayton Matthews, William Burt Lewis Matthews and James Munday.
Honorary pallbearers were Clinton Matthews, William Matthews, Tommy Matthews, George Wildcat Sr., Jim Ed Holt, Barney Girdner, Kennadi Morrow and Emerald Munday.
